Regrowth of chemo hair

Thanks for posting. Certainly i's quite descouraging for me. Makes it around 5 years -which I'll hardly survive- for a decent mane my usual lenght. As for texture and color, well - guess it'll go back to african dark and curly ( an universally recessive character). Am I right?
Will a chemo woman survive long enough as to recover her former hair and looks? Or is chemo a flight forward old age and death.

Hi Lola. My hair came back in as a pretty common chemo perm, but within 6 months, the new growth returned to my former textureless look. My color didn't change. And I am keeping my hair short. I found bald to be very freeing.

I don't know how long it will take you to recover your mane, but I hope the wait will not seem endless for you. Before cancer, I would have hoped that the time would have passed for you quickly, but I don't think that way anymore.

I now savor everyday, including the bad hair days.

Best to you!!
